Challenge:
ITelagen, a flat-rate IT company based in the New York City area, was quickly expanding
its business nationwide and in particular, entering into the highly competitive healthcare
IT market in partnership with electronic health record implementation companies. ITelagen
needed to give exposure to its existing healthcare IT contracts in an effort to secure
similar business in other geographic areas. Additionally, ITelagen had been awarded a
lucrative grant from New Jersey Economic Development Authority to permanently locate
its office in the Jersey City Harborside Financial district and was looking for exposure on
the award and the company’s new state-of-the-art office space.
Solution:
ITelagen came to Kirk Communications to help build media awareness and potential partnership
opportunities for its unique technology offerings across a variety of industries
and in several specific to regions. Kirk Communications took a three-pronged approach
to meet ITelagen’s needs: highlight ITelagen’s highly successful client implementation in
Northern California for a targeted public relations campaign; work with the New Jersey
Economic Development Authority to promote the award and ITelagen’s new office space;
and launch an aggressive national media program targeting ITelagen’s vertical markets.
Results:
ITelagen received significant press coverage in the Northern California media which
attracted the attention of several national healthcare publications and opened up prospects
for the company with potential partners. The story on ITelagen’s award and new
office location was used for a front –page article in a leading New Jersey magazine, providing
the company with excellent local exposure and a powerful piece of marketing
collateral. The national media program helped link ITelagen to several influential vertical
publications with strong potential opportunities for upcoming articles.
